Professor Karen Redmond is a specialist thoracic lung transplant surgeon with an interest in minimally invasive surgical approaches, treating patients with end-stage lung disease, lung cancer, and conditions such as pectus and complex airway conditions. After training in Toronto General Hospital, Canada, she went on to become the first female lung transplant surgeon in the British Isles, consulting at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Trust in London. Professor Redmond returned to Dublin, Ireland, in 2011 to expand the thoracic surgery and national lung transplant unit at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

An expert in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to cardiac rhythm, Dr Lyne graduated with distinctions in Medicine & Surgery from Cambridge University in 1998. His specialist training and research in Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Devices and Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging was undertaken at the largest specialist Heart and Lung Hospital in Europe, the Royal Brompton Hospital. He started his consultancy there before transferring to the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin in 2011. He has since moved to establish his private practice at the Blackrock Clinic, Hermitage Clinic and the Beacon Hospital.
