Currently, my research focus is on patients who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Historically, surgical treatment options for these patients have not been emphasized in Ireland. Under the supervision of Professor Karen Redmond and Professor Jan Sorensen I aim to investigate surgical treatment options for patients with COPD from a health economics point of view.
